Most collagen is toxic. I learned that the hard way. I used to buy whatever said “grass-fed” on the label. Felt smart. Thought I was protecting my joints and skin. Then I dug into how most of it’s actually made… and it’s ugly. “Grass-fed” means nothing if the collagen is hydrolyzed with acid in a Chinese mega-plant. That’s not ancestral or healthy. It’s corporate sludge. Along the way it’s exposed to glyphosate, heavy metals, and mold fragments... all ending up in the scoop you’re drinking for “joint support.” If you care about hormones and longevity, know where your collagen comes from, or skip it entirely. I wish someone had told me this sooner. Most of it is way more toxic than you think. (see studies and proof in the posts below.)
